illustrates the common stereotype of the absentminded, detached, and
eccentric philosopher.
Is this stereotype bad for philosophy (as a profession)? If so, what can/should we do about it?
That was a lot of fun… I think the philosopher’s strain to get clear that is mocked here may sometimes be taken as ridiculous but is at other times respected, because clarity is not valued by philosophers alone.
