Helen and I would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who has signed up for our Job-Market Mentoring Project so far, particularly prospective mentors (who, in our view, are doing a real service by offering to help out candidates in need!). We have begun pairing up mentors and mentees, and the feedback we have received so far has been very encouraging.

Alas, we currently have more mentees in need than prospective mentors, particularly when it comes to the international job market (i.e. continental Europe, UK, etc.). Accordingly, we would like to put out this fresh call for mentors, particularly those with experience in the aforementioned international markets. You can sign up here!

Finally, we would also like to encourage prospective mentees to continue signing up as well, and emphasize (following the updates here) that the mentoring program is open to–and will equally prioritize–job-candidates of every gender. We merely ask that women mentees first approach the The Job Candidate Mentoring Program for Women in Philosophy, as our aim is to complement, not compete with, their program. Thanks, in advance, to everyone who answers this call!
