I am delighted to introduce the Cocoon's newest contributor, Stacey Goguen, to the community. Stacey is ABD at Boston University, and does work at the intersection of philosophy of science, feminist philosophy, and the social construction of knowledge. Her dissertation defends a new account of stereotype threat according to which stereotype does not merely threaten performance, but also more centrally puts pressure on a person's self-identity. Her paper, "Stereotype Threat, Epistemic Injustice, and Rationality", is forthcoming in Michael Brownstein & Jennifer Saul (eds.), Implicit Bias and Philosophy (OUP). Welcome!
