A list of grants?

In our newest "how can we help you?" thread, a reader writes:

Is there a clearinghouse for grants philosophers can apply for? I have a sabbatical coming up, would like to find grant funding, but am not sure if there's some sort of master database of philosophy grants. I'm US-based; I know about NEH grants, and Templeton, but there must be other bigger ones out there I'm not aware of. (And yes in theory my institution has a person who helps with grants… in practice, not so much). Thanks!

This is good question. Do any of you know of a resource like this? If not, it might be good to crowdsource a list of grants that philosophers can apply for in the comments section below!

    UC Berkeley has a good overview of ways of finding funding opportunities: https://spo.berkeley.edu/funding.html
    Pivot, the main tool they recommend, requires creating an account and institutional access.
    Also worth looking at is UCLA’s list of postdoc opportunities here: https://grad.ucla.edu/funding/ (apply the filter for postdocs). It includes some opportunities for visiting fellowships beyond the postdoc phase, but not grants in general, so I’m not sure how helpful this is to the OP specifically.

    (to clarify, I didn’t mean bigger than NEH or Templeton, I meant grants big enough to support teaching release. Re-reading this, I realize the wording was ambiguous. Thanks!)

    UIUC has a great database, and I don’t believe a subscription is needed for that one. Pivot is the best resource, though, if you have access to it.
