Can we get updated advice or pointers on doing R&Rs for top-5 journals?
Does anyone have any helpful tips?

Not sure it is particularly helpful, but I’ve published in a couple of the journals normally considered ‘top-5’, and I handled the R&R in just the same way that I have R&Rs for other journals.
That means, for me, writing what normally turns into a long letter, normally including the text from the reports with my responses interspersed so that it is clear what my response to each comment is.
But I didn’t do anything special for the top-5 journals, except maybe for my first R&R with one of these journals spending longer on it than normal/really trying to make sure I’d fully understood the comments from the reviewers/getting a colleague to read the comments and letter before submission (something I know some think is good practice, but I don’t normally do, even for top-5 journals since the first)
It is the same as every other R&R, except you stress more!
