In our newest “how can we help you?” thread, a reader asks:

Could people list all the places they discover job postings? I check higheredjobs, chronicle of higher ed jobs, phil jobs, and community college jobs daily. Are there other places to be looking for job listings that these websites wouldn’t necessarily also list?

Good questions! Anyone know of places not listed by the OP?

This looks like someone looking for jobs in the US. The question is whether they are interested in jobs elsewhere. If they are, there are several other places to check. Philos-L, jobs.ac.uk, etc etc.

    UK: jobs.ac.uk
    Europe: PHILOS-L (listserv)
    Canada: University Affairs

  3. BEK

    jobs.ac.uk for UK jobs

  4. If you are open to living in the UK, keep an eye on https://www.jobs.ac.uk/

I think all the jobs I’ve applied to have been posted on either PhilJobs or Philos-L; on rare occasions I’ve been directly sent an ad that was only circulated by email.

I’ve also checked https://euraxess.ec.europa.eu/jobs/search (EU), jobs.ac.uk (UK), or https://jobs.zeit.de (Germany, in German) but don’t think I’ve ever found a job I could apply to that wasn’t already circulated on Philos-L.

For context I’m on the market for English-language research positions; given that the poster is applying to community colleges we may not have the same set of target jobs (but maybe this is helpful to another reader).
