I'm happy to announce that my article, "How to Rationally Approach Life's Transformative Experiences", is now forthcoming in Philosophical Psychology. The article is a response to L.A. Paul's cool recent work and forthcoming book on transformative experience and the rationality of having children. As the article explains, I'm much more sympathetic with Paul's main argument than many of her critics — but I still think there's a way (an interesting way!) to respond to it.
