I'd like to thank Helen De Cruz for kicking off our resurrected Featured Early-Career Author Series in such strong fashion. I, for one, learned a lot from her posts on skilled epistemic practices, expertise, performance, and perception, and thank everyone who took part in discussing Helen's work. Please join me in thanking Helen!

We will have a short break in our series before restarting on August 17th with our next featured author, Carlo Ierna (Utrecht). Carlo will be with us until September, when Luis Favela (Central Florida) will take over.

Finally, I would like to encourage anyone who might be interested in being a Featured Early-Career Author to email me at marvan@ut.edu. The only requirements are (1) being an early-career philosopher (grad school or beyond), and (2) an interest and willingness to share your work or ideas with others. You can share work you've already published, share ideas you're playing around with, whatever. The purposes of the series are simply to increase dialogue and engagement with early-career people's work!
