In our new “how can we help you?” thread, a reader writes:

I would like to hear about people’s suggestions for mid-career (e.g. recently tenured) philosophers at not prestigious programs, such as non-elite SLACs or not research-oriented public schools.

I find some popular remarks helpful but too general, like “you should be ready to stay there until you retire/die”, “you should just do whatever you want”, etc. But is there any advice people find especially useful?

Great question! Do any readers have any helpful insights to share?
