This summer, UW-Madison is offering a two-week seminar for graduate students, postdocs, and faculty designed to introduce philosophers to Bayesian Epistemology from the ground up. We are especially interested in folks who don't have the opportunity to learn this material in their home institutions, but would find it useful in their research and/or teaching. So this isn't just for people who have already published in the area, or come from the fanciest research institutions. No Bayesian background is assumed, nor any math or statistics beyond high-school algebra. (You will need to know elementary logic through sentential and predicate.) A limited amount of financial support is available to cover travel and housing for participants without other sufficient professional funds. Come join us in Madison, meet people with similar interests, and have fun learning the ways of Bayes!
