Alexandra Gustafson (University of Toronto) and Peter Limberg (of Toronto's The Stoa) cordially invite you to join us for a virtual Flash Philosophy writing workshop on Wednesday, October 18, 10-11:30 am.
What is Flash Philosophy? Philosophy, written in a flash, meant to be read just as quickly (think Gettier's 3-page "Is Justified True Belief Knowledge"). Drawing inspiration from the literary concept of “flash fiction,” this approach accommodates the accelerated tempo of our digital age. These very short works of philosophy are meant to be drafted quickly so that the insights they contain can be disseminated more quickly, enhancing the productivity of philosophical discourse, both among professional philosophers and those outside the discipline.
Workshop participants will have the opportunity to submit their Flash for publication consideration.
Interested parties may RSVP via this link: https://zoom.us/meeting/register/tJArdeiprzMiGtI-q2sqjKlDlVgRsrVTENAe#/registration (please feel free to forward this invitation to anyone you think might be interested.) Questions may be directed to Alexandra (a.gustafson@mail.utoronto.ca).
We look forward to seeing you there!
